There’s a new child care option for families on Kirtland Air Force Base.

Kirtland officials on Wednesday welcomed Toni Trefzer as the first certified Family Child Care provider on base in the last six years. She can have six children of base members in her home. A perk is that the children are supervised in smaller settings and have more flexible schedules than traditional daycares, according to the Air Force.
