PALM DESERT, Calif. — Donovan Dent and Mustapha Amzil combined for 58 points and hit a combined 25-of-29 free throws but it wasn't enough in an 85-82 loss to Arizona State in the the opening round of the four team Acrisure Classic late Thursday night in Southern California.
The Big 12's Sun Devils did enough damage of their own at the charity stripe, hitting 19 of their 24 free throws in the final nine and a half minutes of a game that featured 47 fouls called and a combined 64 free throw attempts.Â
